Individual productive investment operations in innovative activities, promoted by SMEs.
Individual operations of an innovative nature, which translate into the production of tradable and international goods and services with high added value and a level of national incorporation, which correspond to an initial investment, related to the following types of action:
a) Creation of a new establishment.
b) Increase in the capacity of an existing establishment.
c) Diversification of the production of an establishment for products not previously produced in the establishment.
d) Fundamental alteration of the global production process of an existing establishment.
Micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), of any nature and under any legal form.
NUTS II regions on the Mainland (North, Centre, Lisbon, Alentejo and Algarve), outside the low density territories defined by CIC Portugal 2020 (Low Density Territories).
In the case of the NUTS III region of Coastal Alentejo, operations that fall within the renewable energy, agri-food and tourism sectors are not eligible.
Within the scope of this Call, operations with more than one establishment may also include investments located in low-density territories, provided that the weight of these investments is in the minority.
The financing rate for eligible operations is obtained from the sum of the following parts, up to a maximum limit of 40%:
A) Base Rate: 25 p.p. for medium-sized companies and 30 p.p. for micro and small companies. In the case of operations located in the NUTS III sub-regions Alto Alentejo, Beiras and Serra da Estrela, the base rates are 30 p.p. for medium-sized companies and 35 p.p. for micro and small companies.
B) Increments:
i. Sectoral policy priorities: 5 p.p. for fulfilling each of the following priorities, up to a limit of 10 p.p.:
a. «Dynamic collective bargaining» – operations of entities that have dynamic collective bargaining, considering for this purpose the granting or renewal of the Collective Labor Regulation Instrument for less than three years. The existence of dynamic collective bargaining will be assessed based on the code of the Collective Labor Regulation Instrument indicated in the application form;
b. «Industry 4.0» – operations in the Industry 4.0 area, where digital transformation will allow for disruptive changes in business models, products and production processes;
c. «Climate Transition» – operations in areas that make a relevant contribution to the objectives of Climate Transition.
ii. «SME capitalisation»: 5 p.p. attributable to operations whose private component is financed mainly by equity, namely share capital, incorporation of loans and supplementary capital contributions.
The support to be granted takes the form of a subsidy.
